DESCRIPTION:The perfect blend of Country Blues mojo and urban blues and rock! \nWhen guitarist Richard Green heard Amy Ryan’s solo performances in New York’s Capital Region\, he saw an opportunity to combine his own blues guitar chops with a gusty female singer and the potential to create a great blues band. An early iteration of a group came together quickly the musical experiment was successful enough that the Amy Ryan Band was soon born. \nMelding together Amy’s country blues mojo with Richards urban blues and rock sensibilities\, this musical partnership is rounded out by the addition of bassist Steve Dietemann\, drummer Al Bauman and Ed Stein on keyboards\, all of whom contribute greatly to the success of the band with their own experiences with jazz\, funk\, and rock. \nWith a repertoire that includes band adaptations of Amy’s self-penned solo tunes\, newly minted originals\, and select covers\, the Amy Ryan Band rocks the blues!

DESCRIPTION:The perfect blend of Country Blues mojo and urban blues and rock! \nWhen guitarist Richard Green heard Amy Ryan’s solo performances in New York’s Capital Region\, he saw an opportunity to combine his own blues guitar chops with a gusty female singer and the potential to create a great blues band. An early iteration of a group came together quickly the musical experiment was successful enough that the Amy Ryan Band was soon born. \nMelding together Amy’s country blues mojo with Richards urban blues and rock sensibilities\, this musical partnership is rounded out by the addition of bassist Steve Dietemann\, drummer Al Bauman and Ed Stein on keyboards\, all of whom contribute greatly to the success of the band with their own experiences with jazz\, funk\, and rock. \nWith a repertoire that includes band adaptations of Amy’s self-penned solo tunes\, newly minted originals\, and select covers\, the Amy Ryan Band rocks the blues!

It wasn’t until 1999 when she played a gospel singer in the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of A Raisin In The Sun that she was steered down the path of blues. \nMisty Blues pays homage to the older blues made popular by the bold and brassy women of its time\, while still paying respect to classic male artists of the ’20s\, ’30s\, and ’40s. The band hasn’t completely abandoned their musical roots; they have been known to perform classic rock and folk tunes infused with a healthy dose of the blues. Over the years\, Misty Blues has produced ten albums. Today the core members include Gina Coleman\, Seth Fleischmann\, Bill Patriquin\, Ben Kohn\, Rob Tatten\, and Aaron Dean.
